Trek Further with Tissot T-Touch

Tissot T-Touch Trekking

Tissot is the industry leader in coolness-factor for sports watches. They earned this prestigious position with the T-Touch line.

The T-Touch Trekking model is a hiker’s or a camper’s best friend. The look is rugged; the features are life-savers; the touch-screen feature is geek-amazing cool. The basic idea of all of Tissot’s T-Touch watches is to make the watch functions available with a durable, easy-to-use touchscreen built right into the watch. By durable, I mean super-tough. The watch is water-resistant to a full 30 meters. Not feet. Meters. And it’s backlit, rendering it fully useable in James Bond-type underwater situations. The screen-slash-watch crystal is constructed of sapphire crystal, the hardest substance available aside from diamonds. Sapphire crystal is amazingly scratch-proof.

So what are the life-saving features literally available at the tip of your fingers? The usual timepiece functions, of course: countdown chronograph, two alarms, dual time zones, etc. And for the wilderness-lover who also loves making it home: thermometer, barometer, compass, altimeter, azimuth, and a perpetual calendar. These functions are all accessed by tapping one of seven contact points on the sapphire crystal screen. The requested information is displayed on the digital portion of the watch face. (The standard time display is analog.)
