Flip Mino and Flip Mino HD are both remarkably inexpensive, palm-sized camcorders featuring touch-sensitive buttons, fixed-focus lenses, USB-rechargeable lithium batteries, and automatic exposure control.
The Mino has a 1.5” screen and its 2GB of internal memory is enough for an hour of filming at 640 x 480 resolution. The Mino HD has a 2” screen and boasts 8GB of internal memory, enough for two hours of filming at 1280 x 720 resolution. For the HD, an HDMI output jack lets you connect the Mino directly to an HD screen for easy viewing.
The Mino and Mino HD both perform strongly in bright light and better in relatively close shots than in long distances. There is no optical zoom, but there is a 2x digital zoom. These are not feature-packed cameras that you’ll spend 20 minutes with to set up a shot.
