Affordable GPS from Navman


The Navman 300 Sport-Tool series of GPS devices is an affordable solution for those sport practitioners who need to monitor their speed and distance adapted to their sport.
There are six models in the series, each optimized for a different sport. Here you have a description of each one:
- A300: optimized for alpine skiing. Can also be used for snowboarding, hill walking and mountain biking. Features: downhill distance skied, altitude, lap counter, time and distance.
- M300: optimized for windsurfing and water sports, and also suitable for boating and sailing. Features: compass heading, lap counter, time and distance, automatic stopwatch timer.
- R300: optimized for running. It’s possible to use it for inline skating and walking too. Features: lap counter, time and distance, calories burned, programmable pace and speed target zone.
- S300: optimized for inline skating, but can also be used for jogging. Features: automatic stopwatch timer, programmable speed target zone, current, average and maximum speed.
- W300: optimized for walking, but also suitable for fitness and Nordic walking. Features: calories burned, automatic stopwatch timer, average speed and pace.
- X300: all purpose sport GPS. Features: ultra-precise measurement of current, average and maximum speed, distance travelled, distance skied, altitude.
The Navman 300 Sport-Tools do not include many features found in more expensive devices like the Garmin Forerunner, such as heart rate monitoring or connection to a computer for statistics and graphics. You get them at half the price of those and are easier to use, though.
These devices are powered with 1 AA battery and you can attach them to you upper arm with the included arm band. They’re also water resistant.
